Crochet Baby Bear hat

I love this crochet baby bear hat pattern because the stitches used in the hat look so complex and intricate; however in reality the stitch work used is actually super simple to duplicate! The stitches used in the hat portion are the double crochet and the shell front cross stitch. The ears are made with a triple crochet, and the flower is made with a combination of slip stitch, single crochet, and double crochet

I used a really soft worsted weight yarn in colors baby pink and caffe latte. I also used a little brown button to place over the flower... just make sure to use a button with bigger holes so that you can fit your yarn needle through them when you go to sew the button onto your hat.

I have had people literally stop me on the street and ask me where I have bought this bear hat! I know if you make this hat for someone's baby they will be thoroughly impressed with your crochet abilities.

One of the Best Crochet Baby Hat Pattern Books...

If you're looking for great baby hat crochet patterns; "Baby Hats" by Anastasia Cruz is one of the best baby hat pattern books I've used. Her pattern book is very simple to follow and has 10 adorable hat designs that are sized for 3, 6, and 12 month old babies. "Baby Hats" is downloadable and comes with online videos that demonstrate some of her techniques used in the book.

I am actually planning on showing off some of her hats on my website (not patterns) so when I do I will post a link here so that you can go and check out more of her work. Oh... and by the way she also has a crochet baby bear hat pattern in her book as well!
