Crochet Baby Bear Hat

I love this crochet baby bear hat pattern because the stitches used in the hat look so complex and intricate; however, in reality, the stitch work used is super simple to duplicate! The stitches used in the hat portion are the double crochet and the shell front cross stitch. The ears are made with triple crochet, and the flower is made with a combination of slip stitch, single crochet, and double crochet.

I used a soft worsted weight yarn in colors baby pink and café latte. I also used a little brown button to place over the flower... make sure to use a button with bigger holes so that you can fit your yarn needle through them when you go to sew the button onto your hat.

People stopped me on the street and asked me where I bought this bear hat! If you make this hat for someone's baby, they will be thoroughly impressed with your crochet abilities.

A Book I Use for Fun and Reference:

"Baby Hats" by Anastasia Cruz is one of the best baby hat pattern books I've used. Her pattern book is straightforward to follow and has ten adorable hat designs that are sized for 3, 6, and 12-month-old babies.

The Products I Used for this Crochet Baby Bear Hat Pattern: I always try to find the best deals and the best quality! However, these prices may change over time.

Yarn

I have fallen in love with 24/7 Cotton yarn from Lion Brand. This yarn is much softer than Red Heart and works up beautifully. The colors I chose for this pattern are Pink Lemonade and Café Au Lait.

Crochet Hook Set

This polymer clay hook set includes an H/8 5.00 mm hook size I recommend for this pattern.

This set is one of my favorites because of how pretty the hooks are, plus the hooks are ergonomic and comfortable to hold.

Buttons

These are the same buttons I used for my baby bear hats. The buttons are thick and have a great multi-color look.
